The Old Vicarage is a late Victorian red-brick house in Petersham, Surrey which is situated in 3.5 acres of garden.
LTS was invited to carry out a full refurbishment of the house to turn it into an elegant family home, while maintaining the integrity of the original house. The existing roof coverings were stripped off and the existing roof structure was extensively re-modelled and then re-roofed. A new side and rear three-storey extension was built to provide a new kitchen and dining area on the ground floor with new bedrooms and bathrooms on the upper floors. The extension mirrored the existing elevation of the house with brick and woodwork matched to the property. A basement was also added below the footprint of the extension to include a wine cellar, spa area and general storage. New mechanical and electrical systems were added throughout.
Internally, the existing layout was configured to provide an extended master suite and en suite bathrooms to all the bedrooms. The highest standards of finish were used, with stone in the bathrooms, fumed oak floors and fine quality joinery throughout the property.
The completed restored property provides a magnificent family home with high-quality finishes throughout, set in beautiful landscaped gardens.
