Manresa Road

LTS were appointed main contractor on the restructuring and opulent fit out of a 10,000 Sq Ft triplex apartment in the heart of Chelsea. This private residence is located within a building that was once the Chelsea College of Arts which, only recently, benefited from a large development scheme.

LTS’s contractual obligations included a substantial structural alterations package with the creation of one single dwelling from two adjoining apartments. LTS also designed the mechanical system, performance specified by Edward Pearce & Partners. The apartment benefits from air conditioning and under floor heating throughout with an integrated Audio Visual System on every floor.

Although the wall finishes, all hand applied, feature throughout the property in one sweeping cohesive movement, they are displayed in a more prominent fashion on the Master floor. The timber floors remain the same throughout the property offering a stark contrast to the white finished wall surfaces. The Master floor enjoys full height (3.4m) tortoise shell doors that are braced on an LTS designed sliding track detail which conveniently hides the mechanics of the system.

All the joinery has been built from the progression of construction issue drawings. LTS were presented with design mood boards from which our in-house CAD team developed accurate drawings to build from. This enabled the flamboyant designs to become reality.

There were three design influences within this scheme all offering different styles for different areas. As you move down the spiral staircase, its treads and riser’s cladded in the same timber as the floor finishes, you come to the guest floor which houses, three ensuite bedrooms, kitchen, wine cellar and one separate bathroom.

The spiral staircase leads then to the Lower Ground floor spa complex which amongst the obvious attributes houses Caracalla and Nuvola tubs, a barbers room and a waterfall.
